Golf Rain Gear Reviews
FootJoy Men’s RainGrip Golf Gloves
We are going to start with the most important part of your gear, rain golf gloves. If you cannot hold onto the club, you will hit the ball all over the course. As a frequent golfer, playing in the rain is not good for your grip. I have gone through multiple pairs of gloves that were so-called “waterproof,” and couldn’t find any that would prevent my hands from slipping due to wet conditions. After I tried FootJoy’s RainGrip Golf Gloves, I discovered that they were the perfect fit for me.
Once they get wet, there was no grip slippage. With the knitted texture, I never worried about my clubs slipping so I could just focus on relaxing my hands. These gloves are essential for playing in rainy conditions.
You have to get these gloves wet to truly experience how great they are. I will wipe them on the wet grass or run my hands under the water cooler. When they are soaked, they are awesome. The only downside is that you want your gloves and your grips wet for the best results. When the rain stops, you then have to switch to a dry glove and wipe down your grips. A small price to pay to keep your clubs from moving around in your hands.
Adidas Golf Men’s Climaproof 2L Gore-Tex Rain Pants
You are probably wondering why I recommending just a pair of golf rain pants here instead of pairing the pants with a jacket. The answer is pretty simple….I love these pants. These pants kept me dry in some serious rain, and they are easy on and off on the course.
They are also very warm, so if you have a cold rain, or if you get stuck during some snow flurries, these pants are going to keep you dry and warm. The pockets are easy to get in and out of and that is important when trying to pull out your tees or divot repair tool.
Adidas Golf Men’s Climaproof Advance Rain Jacket
What is the best Waterproof Golf Jacket?
The Adidas Golf Men’s Climaproof Advance Rain Jacket is one of the cheapest rain jacket you will find, and it also a great quality jacket that will protect you from the elements. It comes with a pouch so you are able to store the jacket in your golf bag.
Maybe we are a little partial to Adidas when it comes to their rain gear, but this jacket is another one of those items I have to keep in my golf bag. The top is very lightweight, but secures up tightly to keep the rain off of my skin. It is also very comfortable and keeps the wind in check.
The fabric is stretchy which really helps with your swing, and I like the pockets on this particular jacket. The arm pockets are easy to get in and out of and they zip up tight. I also like the pocket on the chest to keep my score card. The adjustable cuffs on the sleeves are great because you can wrap them up tight against your rain gloves.
This particular jacket with the black and grey looks great, and I will actually wear this jacket in the fall. The only downsize is it is a little pricey, but for something that I will wear several times a year for the next 5 years, it is worth it in my opinion.
Adidas Golf Men’s Climastorm Provisional Rain Jackets
Like with most of their products, Adidas won’t disappoint you with this golf rain jacket too! This golf jacket is designed to protect you from wind and rain. It has a wind-resistant protection layer and seam-sealed details that ensure you are protected from the elements.
The jacket is made of polyester. It has a full zip with a mock neck and side seam pockets. It’s available in 3 different neutral colors – black, sub blue, and white.
Keep in mind that this jacket doesn’t stretch and that the wrong size may restrict your swings. The jacket is true to size, so you shouldn’t have any problems choosing the right size even if you are ordering online.
Overall, it is a great jacket for the money. It’s light and durable and suitable for warmer weather. It will definitely keep you dry during rainy days and warm on windy days. A great option if you are an avid golf player who lives in a rather rainy area!

Clicgear Golf Bag Rain Cover
If you are a walker and use a pushcart, this is a cover you should throw in your bag this weekend. It is pretty inexpensive, and will definitely come in handy when you are stuck in the rain in the middle of a match.
Keep your clubs and everything inside your golf bag dry with this waterproof, lightweight, and durable rain cover. It is hooded, so it will cover your clubs and protect them from the rain in between shots. Installation is simple with two clip on adjustable straps.
Three Sixty Six Dri-Fit Golf Shirts for Men
If you are not a big brand name guy and don’t care about wearing a golf related label, these shirts are pretty nice. With 4-way stretch fabric, calling this shirt comfortable would be an understatement. It can be worn on, or off the course. The polyester/elastane fabric allows you breathing room and dries quickly. I especially like the anti-odor technology. The quality and price of this shirt is a wonderful combo. It hasn’t shrunk when drying and it keeps me cool when it’s warm out.
This shirt fell under rain gear because it is one of those shirts that will dry quickly when you are on the course. There are many brands that offer dry fit clothing, we just really like the comfort of these shirts and they are nearly half of the big name brands.
Dry Fit Golf Shorts for Men – Casual Mens Shorts Moisture Wicking
When you want to stay comfortable and dry in the rain, these shorts will do the trick. Going to stick with the budget friendly golf shorts here as well. If you do not care about wearing the name brands, these shorts are very comfortable, and with the elastic waistband, they are perfect for my up and down summer weight.
These dry fit golf shorts have a mesh fabric that produces ventilation while you play golf. They feature an elastic waistband with grips on the inside to create maximum mobility and the perfect fit.
RANDY SUN 100% Waterproof Socks
Unisex Hiking Wading Trail Running Skiing Crew Socks
If you wear these socks with shorts, then you deserve any ridicule you may receive. In my opinion, these socks are to be worn with pants. The high sock may look a bit odd, but they will absolutely keep your feet dry while playing golf in the rain.
If you’re anything like me, getting water in your shoes and socks will completely ruin your mood, especially if you didn’t bring extra pairs of either. When wearing waterproof socks when you’re out on the course, you don’t need to worry about stepping in puddles. These RANDY SUN socks are not only 100% waterproof, but they leave room for your feet to breathe. They are incredibly lightweight and designed to keep your feet dry and cool. The socks wrap around your heel snugly to create the perfect fit to avoid readjustment.
Athletico 62/68 Inch Automatic Open Golf Umbrella
Extra Large Double Canopy Umbrella is Windproof and Waterproof – Features Ergonomic Rubber Handle
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that umbrellas are designed to shield people from the rain. This Athletico design is the perfect golf umbrella for the greens. Not only can it protect you from the rain and wind, but it can also keep the sun from burning your eyes and skin. The rubberized grip is easy to hold, and the auto-open button ensures you can open it in nearly a second. The material used blocks most sun rays, is lightweight, and dries fast.
I recently gave this umbrella to my dad as a Father’s Day present. A few weeks later, when we were golfing together, it began to storm with heavy winds and rain. Instead of leaving, we decided to continue playing. He conveniently took out the umbrella I bought for him, and let me just tell you; it worked wonders. Even after a strong gust of wind, the umbrella didn’t bend or break. The extra-large double canopy and fiberglass frame ensures that it is entirely windproof. This design will keep you and your belongings dry out on the course with its vent features that allows wind to pass through. This is a great umbrella to use out on the course or even for an afternoon walk.
BAGAIL Golf Umbrella
If you have read any other reviews that we have done recently, we really like the Bagail Golf Umbrella, and actually chose it as our best golf umbrella. There are times when we don’t mind spending a lot of money on quality golf products like a golf training aid or a golf launch monitor, but when it comes to your basics like an umbrella, we often times go for the value.
The Bagail is a very large umbrella and it is extremely affordable. It would make a great Christmas gift for any golfer in your life, and it comes in about 25 different colors. Save your cash and spend it on some more important golf products, and opt for the cheaper umbrella that is going to keep you dry and won’t kill your wallet.
