The Callaway Sungear Merlin Golf Sunglasses are a great option created by a reputable golf brand. One of the things you will want to be sure of is that your golf sunglasses are built explicitly for golfers.

Since sunglasses can create blind spots, it does not make much sense to block the vision you have of a golf hole that you are playing. Therefore these trendy but smartly designed sunglasses give you the best view of the ball at all times.

In addition, the Callaway Sungear Merlin is going to give you 100% protection from UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. You can ensure that your eyes are truly protected with these on. Probably our favorite feature of the Sungear Merlin is that you will have enough depth perception to easily read greens.

Many golfers will complain that polarized sunglasses make it more difficult to see where the golf ball is and read putts on the green. Some golfers find this to be true and will search for a high-quality pair of Non Polarized Golf Sunglasses.

The Peak Vision sunglass features an Aluminum-Magnesium frame that makes them very lightweight and sporty. You won’t feel any fatigue keeping these on your face your entire round. In addition, you will find that the frame overall is quite durable.

The lens on the Peak Vision glasses is a Zero Distortion lens that helps to ensure the views you see are as clear as possible. This is a quality brand name perfect for a golfer who has never worn sunglasses before and wants to start protecting their eyes.

Nike Golf Adrenaline Sunglasses

Although Nike does not make golf clubs anymore, they are still very much involved in the world of golf apparel. These Nike Golf Adrenaline Sunglasses provide a great combination of performance and style.

The lightweight nylon frame ensures that you have maximum comfort and durability during your entire round. The glasses also feel as though they stay secure and snug on your head the whole time you play. This is important because golfers tend to swing at very high speeds, which could cause glasses to slide or slip.

The Nike Max Optics are included in the lens to make sure that you are accurately focusing on what you should be as you play your round. We found the view to be quite clear while we had these glasses on.

The Oakley men’s sunglasses are made in the USA, and the exceptional Plutonite lenses provide high-quality UV protection, and even blue light protection up to 400mm. The sunglasses are very comfortable and feel lightweight, even after wearing them for a few hours.

The sunglasses are well made. They seem durable and resistant to different weather conditions and drops. Many sunglasses that I used deformed and lost shape over time, but these remained the same! Overall, a good choice if you are a recreational golfer and love spending a lot of time outdoors.

The only thing I didn’t like is that the lenses are pretty delicate and easy to get scratched.

Oakley Flak 2.0 XL Rectangular Sunglasses are talked about very highly in the golf industry. I decided to buy these for a golf tournament back in June to see whatimage of best sunglasses for golf - AEC Info all the fuss was about. Let me tell you; these shades are worth every penny.

I can confidently say that Flak 2.0 is the most comfortable pair of sunglasses I have ever owned. I like how long the ear socks are, as they fit snugly around the sides of my head. They are cushioned nice and gently on the top of my nose and my temples, which is important for long-term wear.

These frames provide you with the over-the-top protection your eyes need. They won’t fall off your face and don’t require constant adjustment. Durable, comfortable, and protective, these sunglasses are great for any weather on the course.

Not to mention how good you’ll look wearing them.

As a frequent golfer, these frames are ideal for any outdoor sport. These specific Oakley frames are designed to magnify detail, color, and contrast so athletes can optimize their experience of any activity.

It’s almost impossible to name a sport where you could not wear these glasses.

You will not be disappointed with the quality of Oakley. The brand has a well-known reputation for using comfortable materials, stylish frames, and cutting-edge designs. These shades are great at blocking out ultraviolet rays, so your eyes will be protected while out on the course.

These glasses pretty much speak for themselves. The Flak 2.0 XL has an unbelievable amount of coverage with a wide peripheral area. These shades have a rubberized, durable grip to prevent from falling off; not to mention they are incredibly lightweight.

Oakley sunglasses tend to have a long life, all while staying in excellent condition.

While many of the other sunglasses we review will do an adequate job of protecting you from the sun, there is a reason you pay higher price tags for golf drivers from Callaway, Titleist, or Taylor Made and golf shoes from Foot Joy or Nike.

The brands in golf make a difference, and you see more pros on tour wearing Oakley Sunglasses than you do Dudama.

We all have friends that would rather spend a few bucks on some blue light specials compared to spending the money on a fresh set of Oakley’s. Others, like me, would rather look good playing because I can’t count on my game to look that great every round.

Under Armour UA Propel Wrap Sunglasses

The Under Armour Propel Wrap sunglasses came up at the bottom of my list. Although I like the contoured look and initial fit, they dug in behind my ears after a little while. The wraparound style helped to protect light seeping in from the sides. Although I did not care for these glasses, they fit my wife’s face much better. She loves the way these sunglasses cut through the glare on a sunny day.

I would suggest Under Armour work on a better fit for this style of sunglasses. For a man, they are too small, yet for a woman, they fit nicely, except when golfing. They tend to slide off my wife’s face a bit when she hits the ball.

I love the sleek and contoured style of these wraparounds. The gray lens allows additional light to pass through while being UVB and UVA protective. There is extreme clarity looking through these sunglasses.

Like other Callaway glasses, they are made for a man’s head. They are comfortable, yet do not slip off my face. Callaway Sungear Kite Golf Sunglasses are polarized, so they certainly cut down on glare while on the course. I even use them while driving. My next use for them will be fishing. I really like these glasses for reading the green. They provide a nice contrast on the fairway.

I have always been a big fan of Oakley’s. Even after reviewing all of the above, I still choose Oakley. This bundle is my favorite deal since it comes with the Oakley leash and s designer iwear kit. The cleaning kit comes packed a spray bottle, microfiber cloth, and a screwdriver/keychain. I know that if I need to make any adjustments, I have everything I need right at hand. What makes this even better is the 2-year warranty that comes with this product.

The lenses are non-polarized, allowing for additional clarity while on the course. The plastic frame and lenses make these sunglasses very lightweight on my face. After shooting a round of golf, my eyes weren’t tired at all.

As with any Oakley’s, these can be used for more than just golf. Of course, I would suggest the make and the fit for golf, but I also bought my son a pair for baseball. I already have other parents asking me what style they are as they fit his face and stay put! Either pair of Oakley’s on here is worth the extra couple of dollars that you would spend on a cheap pair.

Still not convinced of how good these Oakley’s are? Be sure to check out our review of the Oakley Radar EV Path sunglasses here.

Why do golfers need sunglasses?

When golfing on a sunny day, you want to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and light exposure. I don’t know about you, but squinting at the sun is not only annoying, but it also impacts my shots.

Most golfers probably do not realize that your follow-through is affected by the sun.

When you hit directly into the sunlight, you have a tendency not to follow through because you don’t want to be temporarily blinded by the sun. On sunny days we tend not to finish our shots and miss with a fade or slice.

Good sunglasses for golfers can help prevent these lost strokes.

Not only are sunglasses needed for protection from brightness and glares, but many players also wear sunglasses to block out other distractions.

Polarized sunglasses allow golfers to see distances a little more accurately while others love wearing a polarized lens to read the putting greens.

Shades that wrap all-around your eyes and peripherals allow you to concentrate on golf, and only golf.

Wearing sunglasses on the course is not the same for everyone. It is hard for me to wear anything but wrap sunglasses. If there is any daylight impacting my field of vision during my swing, it makes me lose concentration.

You may also notice that several pros do not wear sunglasses on the golf course. Keep in mind, when you watch them on television, it is usually during their shot.

Several pros will wear sunglasses in between shots, and then put them on the back of their hats as to not block the logo of their sponsor on the front of their cap.

What are the best color lenses for golf?

Sunglasses come in a variety of lens colors. Some of the most common lens colors used by golfers are brown/amber, rose/red, green, and gray. The brown and red shades will help differentiate between the light and dark colors on the course.

Gray-colored tint allows golfers to see colors in their purest form. Shades with green lenses are well known for reducing glare and enhancing contrast.

Even though these are the most common colors used by golfers, they may not be the right fit for you. You want to pick the lens color that works best for your eyes and performance.

The Rose-colored lenses are my personal favorite for playing when it is overcast or very cloudy.

The course will appear nicer than it actually is with a Prizm golf lens.

What to look for sunglasses for golf?

When deciding on glasses to purchase, you’re going to want to give it some thought. Do you want them to be protective and polarized? What about comfortable yet stylish?

Do you want glasses that wrap around and block out all of the sun?

A common problem many golfers have with sunglasses is the wear and tear. If you frequently take your glasses off and on, you may drop them a little more than you like.

If you scratch one of the lenses, it will have more impact on your game compared to scratches on your golf clubs.

We want to find scratch resistant, and when possible replaceable lenses or interchangeable lenses that can be swapped out if scratched.

At the top of our list are glasses that block both harmful UVB and UVA rays. It’s essential to think about if you want your glasses to be polarized or not. While they provide great benefits from glare, they tend to dull your view.

There are various styles, fits, and shapes of sunglasses that can meet your exact preference. The perfect shades may not be able to turn your double bogey into a birdie, but they can significantly impact your game.

We have searched high and low at AEC Info to present you with the best sunglasses for your golfing needs. I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed doing this review.

There wasn’t a thing my wife could say when she saw me sporting a different pair of shades every day. It made it even better when I found a pair that was perfect for her on the links!

Sunglasses are a very personal item, and some people like specific brands, looks, shapes, etc. That being said, Oakley sunglasses have stood the test of time, and they are the one brand most golfers think of when looking for a new pair of shades on the golf course.

You won’t go wrong with the Oakley Radar EV Path 009208.
